Dr. Vanessa Russell L.Ac.

Dr. Vanessa Russell received her Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Southern California University of Health Science (SCUHS) with high honors. She is also fully licensed in all NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) certifications. From 2005-2006, she was President of AOM (The Academy of Oriental Medicine) and led many research projects on pain management and the effect of herbs on diseases. Growing up in a family of many generations of acupuncturists, Dr. Vanessa Russell has experienced various acupuncture and oriental medicine treatments and techniques throughout her life. In addition, she has studied extensively with many master acupuncturists from China and has an impressive range of clinical experience, including pain management, internal medicine, chemotherapy, post-surgery and trauma care.

Her goal in life is to pass on her knowledge of the benefits of the healthcare system called Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM): Traditional Chinese Medicine was the main healthcare system in all of Asia for over 3,000 years and has many branches, including acupuncture and herbology, another branch that uses natural plants and minerals for medicinal purposes. In China today, both Western medicine and Eastern medicine are integral and integrated for use hospitals to give the best results for the treatment of various illnesses and the prevention of disease.
